Broadway & Hollywood is Back in April and May
Broadway & Hollywood, one of the most successful shows to tour the Costas in 2011, is to return for a further six events in April and three in May. The 2012 tour, promoted by Jukebox Promotions is as a direct result of the public asking time and time again for the show to come back again this year.
It was a sell out tour in 2012 with standing ovations at every show. Peter, from Jukebox Promotions urges everyone who wants to see the show to book early as it will have to be the last time until next year. "There is an added part to the show this time with music and drama from Miss Saigon including the amazing sound of helicopters flying overhead - it's truly incredible. Those that have seen the show will be even more amazed and those that haven't should certainly not miss it this time around" says Peter.
The fantastic voice and acting of Andy Jones will feature again in the show. It will illustrate the fabulous songs that have hit the stage of Broadway and The West End with such splendour and have many great costume changes! Andy is just the singer to bring it all to life on the Costa Blanca too as for over 37 years, he has been on stage with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company and performed in almost every Gilbert and Sullivan Show. Other shows include Carousel, Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma, Camelot, Merry Widow, The Card, Calamity Jane, and a lots more. Such a powerful voice from such a small guy is amazing. He will simply "blow you away" at this show!
Broadway & Hollywood also features great songs from musical movies made famous in the 60s and 70s. Films that you will know and love and songs that will bring memories flooding back will be performed by Jukebox Legends. Peter & Fiona (Jukebox Legends) will once again show their amazing versatility as they support the incredible talent that is Andy Jones for this three hour spectacular.

Abba Girls and Karen Carpenter tribute tour
Awesome tribute to Karen Carpenter is supported by the spectacular Abba Girls (with Abba sing-a-long)
A unique and outstanding tour taking in seven more venues is underway in the Costa Blanca and the shows feature a fantastic Tribute to Karen Carpenter. Jackie Whyte has the exact voice and style of the superstar of The Carpenters who died at such a young age and she will take the audience through all of the songs that Karen's amazing style portrayed so well in the 70s. Jackie, who has been a singing sensation in Ireland for many years says "Karen had one of the most clear voices ever in music and she was simply a legend. I hope to illustrate some of her style as a perform some of her incredible songs".

An Evening With Dramatic Licence
The next production by this talented local theatre company will be on 16th, 17th and 18th May at 8pm at the Teatro Cardenal Belluga, San Fulgencio – and this time they have a programme of three plays.
So if you like Alan Ayckbourn and Alan Bennett – you’ll love the farce that is Gosforth’s Fete and the thoughtful A Chip in The Sugar from Bennett’s Talking Heads series.The third play is Last Tango In Little Grimley by David Tristram and a hilarious take on how difficult it is to run an amateur theatre group. But sex sells – and if you want to know how, you’ll have to come along.
Former productions by Dramatic Licence include the recent Farndale Christmas Carol, the comedies While The Cats Away, The Odd Couple, Murdered to Death, Seasons' Greetings and many more. So far, the company has been able to donate more that 30,000 euros to local Alzheimers Societies in the six years since starting up with the unforgettable play Don’t Dress For Dinner in 2005.

Learn to use your camera
If you wish you knew how to use all the many facilities on your camera - or would love to take up Photography as a serious hobby, we (David Stokes and Paul Ashton) will be running our popular basic course 'KNOW YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA - THE BASICS', shortly after Easter.
We ran this course early 2011 for the members of the Torrevieja Digital Camera Club, and by popular request repeated it in October 2011 and January 2012.
The course runs Monday mornings for 8 weeks, at Lo Marabu Restaurant on the Lemon Tree Road, Quesada, and is aimed at beginners upwards, the emphasis being to understand the many features of your camera, and how they can be used to take better and more interesting photographs in all situations.
Make the Most of Your Photos
This course is a natural follow-on to 'Know Your Digital Camera - The Basics', and for people who want to learn how to use the computer to improve the quality of their photos and to achieve more creative results.
It covers using software to enhance colour, exposure, contrast, sharpness etc. as well as cropping to achieve better composition. Sessions on getting the best prints and creating Presentations follow. Emphasis is placed on practical work throughout.
This course runs Tuesday mornings for 8 weeks. and is aimed at beginners upwards.
